Details
Noel's go-to guitars for many tracks performed between 2017 and 2022 were two Jazzmasters, but not made by Fender: they are crafted by Bill Nash's company Nashguitars and named JM63.
Nashguitars is a small company from Olympia, WA that builds artificially aged/relic'd guitars inspired by Fender's traditional designs (Strats, Teles, etc). They are built to order and can be heavily customized.1
Noel has stated that he owns 20 guitars made by Nash:2 it might be an overstatement, but still...!
JM63s feature an increased neck angle for better sustain and stability,3 a roller bridge for tuning consistency, a buzz-stop tailpiece4 and specially designed Lollar pickups.
During the Council Skies tour in 2023 the black Jazzmaster was not used, but for the Summer 2024 gigs it replaced the red Les Paul for live performances of In the Heat of the Moment.
Stickers When it first appeared in 2017 it had a large black star sticker above the tremolo plate (already seen on other guitars in the past, e.g. the white Telecaster). Between December 2017 and February 2018 the star was replaced with an equally large smiley.

- It is not uncommon for vintage and modern Jazzmasters to need a neck shim to improve playability. ↩︎
- The buzz-stop is an ugly bracket that applies downward pressure to the strings and it purportedly removes buzz and rattle; its real utility is disputed. ↩︎
