Details

The Esquire was Fender's first production solid-body electric guitar, released in 1950.
It featured only one pickup, in the bridge position and Blonde was the standard finish. A two-pickup version was soon introduced, marketed as "Broadcaster".1
The Broadcaster was quickly renamed "Telecaster" following an objection from the Gretsch Company - which at the time was selling a drum & banjo set named Broadkaster.2
But that's another story!

Noel's Esquire should be a '60s model,3 but I'm not really an expert on vintage Telecasters and Esquires to confirm it.

It was played live during the Tour of Brotherly Love in 2001 and in a few other occasions during the same year.

It was also used during the recording sessions for the 2002 album Heathen Chemistry.4

In 2010 it was one of Noel's main guitars during the recording sessions for the first NGHFB album, as confirmed by Noel in an interview from 2011:

"Oh, you must mean the Esquire. I played it on Dream On, The Death Of You And Me, Soldier Boys And Jesus Freaks and... Broken Arrow as well, I think."5

In early 2022 it was used to record guitar parts for the Council Skies album: in the making-of filmed by Anais Gallagher, the Esquire can be seen in Gem's hands while he is recording lead guitar for the track I'm Not Giving Up Tonight.6
