Details

This blonde Telecaster seems to be a late '60s model (the logo on the headstock is the biggest hint). It is equipped with humbucker pickups and a six-saddle bridge: both these features are not original and were added at some point during the guitar's life.

While it cannot be confirmed unequivocally, this Telecaster might be a gift from actor Johnny Depp. Noel mentioned the guitar in a 2000 interview, while talking about the gear he had used during the recording of the Standing on the Shoulder of Giants album:

"[I've used] a Fender Strat and a '60s Telecaster that Johnny Depp bought me for my 30th birthday."1

Johnny Depp is a big fan of Telecasters and he's played many ones throughout his musical career. In a interview from 2003, he stated that he gave Noel a "white guitar" as a gift.2

Between 2005 and 2006 it was played live during the Don't Believe the Truth tour, mainly for the song Bring It On Down.

In 2008 this Telecaster featured in the official video of The Shock of the Lightning, the first single taken from the last Oasis album (Dig Out Your Soul): it can be seen more clearly in the behind the scenes footage.3

Stickers

The guitar originally featured a small Adidas logo below the bridge plate, which by 2005 had already worn out a bit.

A large black star (apparently the Dallas Cowboys emblem) was added in early September 2005 during the USA leg of the tour. It was later removed sometime before 2008.

A second identical star was applied on the pickguard between September and October 2005.
