Details

This artificially-aged Telecaster was built by one of the Fender Master Builders1 in late 2016, as a custom order by Noel himself. He picked up the guitar on 21 December 2016 at Fender's London Artist Showroom.2

It is finished in a strange colour named Firemist Silver: it is a sort of icy blue/grey that turns to a greenish hue with aging. Noel's Tele definitely looks more green or gold than blue or silver to be honest.

It features on the front & back cover art for the album Council Skies. The photos were taken by Kevin Cummins in the exact location that used to be the centre circle of the demolished Maine Road stadium - now the middle of a modern housing estate.3

Noel has never played it live, but in recent years it has been one of Gem's favourite guitars during the tours: he has played it in Stop Crying Your Heart Out, The Importance of Being Idle, Wonderwall, Wandering Star, We're On Our Way Now, Pretty Boy, Council Skies, In the Heat of the Moment and The Mighty Quinn.

Gem also plays it in the official video of Council Skies.
