Details The Sunburst Telecaster, a common sight in Noel's hands in 2000, is a Custom model from the early '60s. The first iteration of the Telecaster Custom (aka Custom Telecaster, as read on the headstock) was produced between late 1959 and 1972. Basically, it was a standard Tele with double-bound body.1 The most common finish was Sunburst and it generally came with a white pickguard: Noel's one is showing a black pickguard - so maybe it was replaced during its life. Between November 1996 and April 1997 it was used during the recording sessions for the Be Here Now album: it can be seen in many photos taken by Jill Furmanovsky inside Abbey Road Studios.
It was played live throughout the early 2000 concerts: this Telecaster was Noel's axe of choice for songs like Go Let It Out, Wonderwall, Sunday Morning Call, Where Did It All Go Wrong? and Don't Look Back in Anger.
Sometimes, the Mapleglo Rickenbacker was used for Go Let It Out and Don't Look Back in Anger instead.
Since April 2000, this Custom Tele was mostly replaced with the Pink Paisley Telecaster.
