Details

This rather unconventional version of the Fender Jaguar was built in Japan sometime between 1999 and 2002. Pinpointing a more precise production date isn't possible due to the way Japanese Fender serial numbers were assigned during that period.1

Instead of the traditional Jaguar single-coil pickups, it features a pair of humbuckers (hence the "HH" designation), as well as a fixed stop-tail bridge in place of the standard Jaguar/Jazzmaster vibrato unit. In other words, its sound and feel are likely much closer to a Gibson Les Paul than to a Fender Jaguar.

It is likely that Noel Gallagher acquired the guitar in Tokyo, as suggested by the label on its hard case. If that is true, it was probably purchased when Oasis played in Japan: in May or September 2002, or in November 2005.

The guitar can be seen on a rack at Wheeler End Studios in a photograph taken by James Slater,2 which appears to date from the early to mid-2000s. Alongside it are the white Stratocaster, ES-355 #1, the Fireglo Rickenbacker 360/12, and the Esquire.
Noel (and possibly other artists who recorded at the studio, such as The Coral) may have used the Jaguar HH during various demo and recording sessions throughout the 2000s.

Its only known live appearance came on 1 January 2008, when Noel made a surprise guest appearance at Kasabian's New Year's Eve show in Edinburgh. According to contemporary reports, he performed three songs with the band.3 A handful of photos from the event are available.

The guitar was given away at an unknown date before resurfacing in October 2024, when the collector who owned it consigned it to auction through PropStore. The detailed photos below are taken from the original auction listing.
Stickers

Noel added a multi-coloured Rolling Stones tongue-and-lips logo sticker to the pickguard. Interestingly, he also had Stones stickers on the pickguard of his Gibson ES-355 #1 for a few months in 2002. This could suggest that the Jaguar was indeed acquired in 2002, as speculated above.
